Porthleven Scenic Loop - Easy - This is a great route to discover Porthleven. It
is 95% on tarmac road and there is only one get off and walk hill. There is a very
short section on main road. Starts and finishes in the centre of the Harbour at Nauti
But Ice cafe.
Porthleven to Trevarno - Easy - A gentle route fully on tarmac roads. There are a
couple of very short main road sections and one get off and walk hill if you make
the return trip. Trevarno is an award winning garden open to the public all year
round.
Penrose Woods - Easy - A beautiful loop from Porthleven through the National Trust
Penrose Woods. Approximately 50% of route is off-road. Most sections have great views
and scenery. Features one set of steps – suitable for most abilities. Care required
on coastal footpath.
Porthleven to Helston - Moderate - Passes through stunning coastal scenery and Penrose
Woods. Finishes at Helston boating lake cafe. Approximately 75% of route is on firm
trail. Features one set of steps - suitable for most abilities. Care required on
coastal footpath.
Porthleven to Praa Sands - Moderate - The route is 95% on minor country roads. There
are two very short stages on a main road. There is quite a steep down hill section
at Hendra Lane.
Carminowe Creek - Difficult - This route takes you from Helston Boating lake and
into the beautiful Carminowe Creek. Crossing Loe Bar you then follow the coastal
path into Porthleven. Your route home takes you on an adventure through the National
Trust's Penrose Estate. A small section of the route is main road. Approximately
75% of the route is off tarmac road. The southern lake side of Carminowe Creek is
reasonably bumpy with narrow paths to follow. The coastal section is stunning but
care must be taken as the path is immediately adjacent to the cliff edge.
